About Us

The Texas Pioneer Arts Foundation was established in 1968 by Faith and Charles Bybee. Our mission is to collect, preserve and exhibit the arts and artifacts, antiques, tools and buildings characteristic of the German-Texan culture that flourished in the Round Top, Texas-area in the 19th Century.

Today the foundation has stewardship of an extraordinary collection of Texas decorative arts, plus many homes and buildings, all of which form a remarkable legacy provided by Mr. and Mrs. Bybee.
