Mission Statement: is dedicated to the prevention of childhood injury through education, advocacy, enforcement and environmental changes.

Vision Statement:  is to become the recognized advocate for prevention of injury to our children in the greater central Texas area.

A new organization in the Central Texas area, headquartered in Temple, known as Safe Kids Mid-Texas Coalition (SKMT).  Scott & White Healthcare was granted the coalition for Safe Kids  from Safe Kids USA, Washington DC in November 2008.  Safe Kids USA has over 600 coalitions and chapters across the United Sates and is in 17 countries worldwide.  Safe Kids USA has been in existence over 20 years.
