We are an Independent , Fundamental , KJV , Baptist Church . VBC was started May of 1999 by Pastor Mike Gilbert . The building we began in was the old Somerset Livestock and Sales barn . The Lord has been good to us , we have been able to see some people saved and lives changed to the glory of God . We have no axes to grind or empires to build , we just want to serve Jesus. We have Sunday School , Children's Church , Bus Ministry , Flea Market Ministry , and a Nursing Home Ministry . This year we plan to start a Spanish Sunday School Class for adults and children . At present we support 12 missions projects . Future goals are a Christian School , and to start other Churches in the South Texas area. Victory Baptist Church is located between Loop 410 and Loop 1604 on Somerset Road south of San Antonio , Tx.
