The Town of Springdale will accept Declarations of Candidacy for the following positions:

Mayor – One (4-year term)

Town Council Member – Two (4-year term)

Qualifications for a candidate are: (Utah State Code 10-3-301; 20A-9-203)

1. Be a United States Citizen.

2. Be a registered voter of the municipality.

3. Be a resident of the municipality for a period of 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of the election.

4. To not be a convicted felon, unless their right to vote has been restored.

A qualified resident of the municipality can become a candidate for office by filling out a "Declaration of Candidacy" in person or by having another resident of the municipality gather signatures on a Nomination Petition. These forms must be filed with the town clerk or deputy clerk during office hours between July 1 and July 15, 2009. Office hours are Monday through Thursday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Fridays from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM.

Declaration of Candidacy forms and nomination petitions are available at Springdale Town Hall, 118 Lion Boulevard.
