Historical Society Of Washington County

The Historical Society of Washington Co.,Virginia Library, is located at the Old Abingdon Train Station at 306 Depot Square behind the Abingdon Post Office just off Main Street, one block west of Cummings Street (Exit 17 I-81) in Abingdon. The Society has become a leading center in the region for genealogical and historical research including local and regional history, published genealogies and family histories. The library is staffed completely by volunteers and open 10-4 weekdays & 11 AM- 4 PM for 1st and 3rd Saturday from April - October. The Library will be closed from Dec. 16, 2006 through Jan. 15, 2007
