Windy Hill Plant Farm' was established in 1982, originally sited on a windy hill. Owner Karen Rexrode began the business as a small perennial grower, selling only wholesale to a few local nurseries. Her husband Rick joined the company in 1987 and preceded the move to the current location in 1989, close to a 3 acre pond to supply necessary irrigation water. Perennials have been the primary crop with annuals added in 1991. The focus has always been on Hostas with a desire to grow unusual, often hard to find perennials. Display beds have been implemented over the years and now include daylily, peony and Hosta beds. Our location in Southeast Loudoun County, along a main thoroughfare has enabled us to grow and expand. We continue with new perennials added to our catalog every year and unusual annuals grown each spring.
