On the first Wednesday in October, the annual Harvest Festival is held in Northampton County. Set along the Chesapeake Bay, the event is an unforgettable afternoon of seafood, fun, festivities and hospitality where local and state business leaders, politicians and Shore folks gather.

The Eastern Shore of Virginia Chamber of Commerce presents the 17th annual Harvest Festival at Sunset Beach Resort, Cape Charles, Virginia

Enjoy all-you-can-eat seafood including clam chowder, soft crab sandwiches, crab cakes, and shrimp. Savor the steamship round, sweet potato biscuits with country ham, sweet potato pie, and an old favorite, Sting-Ray's chili. Soda and water are included. Beer and local wine will be available for an additional cost. Don't miss entertainment by Butter, voted best local band in 2008 by readers of Hampton Roads Magazine.
