In the midst of a malaria epidemic these Christians work to bring life saving care to those affected by this daily life and death struggle that has disportionately struck the children. Some of the images shown in this video may be difficult to look at but is is important to understand the epic struggle that these people, especially the children are engaged in just to survive one more day. The video of the unresponsive child is disturbing but it is important to know that this child was close to death when he was brought to the PHCC and because of the medication that was provided by our team the child responded well to the treatment and survived this close call. At this point in time when we arrived the clinic was without lifesaving medication and the only medications that were available were the ones that we provided. When we left the clinic once again they were out of medicines to treat malaria. The immediate goal of Freedom Outreach International is to return to Lietnhom and build a hospital. In Gogrial East County there are over 300000 people and not 1 hospital. During the time our team operated in Lietnhom, as the direct result of the medical care that was provided many lives were saved. Sadly however many lives, mostly children, were lost to malaria and Acute Watery Diarrhea due to the lack of medications and supplies.
