About Us
As the region’s premier business organization, the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to serving its members and communities by creating economic prosperity and enhancing the quality of life.
The Chamber will achieve this by representing business viewpoints and interests to the public sector; developing and improving the economy in the region; providing value-added programs and services to members to support and expand their business; building awareness and support of the Chamber’s mission, value and accomplishments with all key audiences; and operating the Chamber in an effective and efficient manner to ensure its long-term viability and growth.
The Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce represents 2,500 member firms that employ nearly 300,000 working men and women. The Chamber extends its programs to 17 cities and counties in Southeastern Virginia.

The Chamber’s mission is to create economic opportunity and prosperity for all of Hampton Roads.
The Chamber focuses on three key areas:
Public Policy
The Chamber provides leadership in articulating business viewpoints in the public arena and strives to be the region’s primary source of information about business issues. Through the work of our legislative steering committees, local divisions and administrative staff, the Chamber works on issues which will create and maintain a healthy climate for doing business in Hampton Roads.
Economic Development
The Chamber strives to improve our local economy by working with the Hampton Roads Economic Development Alliance to attract new business to the area, by helping existing businesses to expand, by working with partners to improve the local workforce, promote amateur sports events and provide leadership training.
Service to Business
The Chamber offers networking opportunities, educational programs, cost-saving employee benefit programs, marketing tools and other services to fill the needs of our business members and contribute to measurable growth for them.
