Music on the Hill invites singers to join their Festival Chorus to sing Handel’s Israel in Egypt with Baroque Orchestra and soloists. Dr. Edward Thompson will conduct. Rehearsals begin September 8th and continue on Tuesdays from 7 – 9 pm at WEPCO church complex, 48 New Canaan Road in Wilton. There will be two Saturday rehearsals on October 10 and 17 from 10 – 12 noon at the Unitarian Church, 10 Lyons Plains Road in Westport. Final dress rehearsal will be Friday, October 23 at Norwalk Concert Hall. The concert will take place Saturday, October 24th, 2015 at 8:00 pm at the Concert Hall.
Singers must register to be in the Festival Chorus. New singers are welcome! Please email [email protected] to register.
About Music on the Hill
Music on the Hill is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging high-quality music performance and education for all ages. Under the leadership of its artistic directors, Ellen Dickinson and David H. Connell, Music on the Hill offers workshops, concerts, and four performing ensembles. These include a community handbell choir, the Jubilate Ringers, and two choral groups in addition to the Summer Chorus, the 16-voice professional Chamber Chorus and the Festival Chorus. These groups perform, in rotation, seven to nine concerts each year, primarily in Weston, Westport, and Wilton.
