About Us:
Home to 300 students in grades preschool – 5, Sunset has been a vibrant part of the Airway Heights community since it was built in 1951. Additions were made in 1955, 1959, 1975 and 1993, and the entire school (except for the 1993 addition) was renovated in 2001-02. A Title I “School wide,” the professional staff work very hard and in a collaborative manner to create a positive learning environment and to assure quality achievement gains for all students. Serving as one of the hubs of community activities in Airway Heights, Sunset has an active and supportive PTO and provides a Title I Parent Room for book check-out and as a place to visit.
