“How to Build a Strong Grant Application”
Monica Miller, Artist Trust's Director of Programs, will present information about how to successfully apply for grants, with tips on preparing a strong grant application, including work sample "do's and don't's," artist résumés and project proposals. Designed for artists working in all disciplines, information about panel and selection processes is also shared. Artist Trust's Grants for Artist Projects (GAP) application is used as a guide. You'll also learn how to get informed about the array of grant possibilities available to Washington State artists, and much more. Expect detailed information on how to best prepare all the materials necessary for a professional grant application. Special focus this year will be online grant applications as Artist Trust will be going online!

“Moving Forward: Resources for Artists”
Miguel Guillen, Information Services Manager for Artist Trust, will discuss the essentials of presenting your work; how to get informed about the funding and exhibition possibilities available to Washington State artists; and information on professional resources, health care, insurance, emergency assistance, and legal services available to artists. Miguel will also present information about Artist Trust's grant programs, information services, and the EDGE Professional Development Training Program for visual artists.
