The quartet was founded in 1996 with the blessing of Pulitzer, Grammy, and Oscar-winning composer John Corigliano who praised their "fiery intensity, musical sensitivity, and bold programming." They routinely present new American music alongside the standard quartet repertoire and their performance at Meany will be no exception.
