Just in time for cool fall weather, Chocolati, the coffee cart on Level 3 at The Seattle Public Library’s Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., is now open an extra hour on weekdays. The new weekday hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The cart is open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m.

The Seattle-based company offers a variety of coffee drinks, hot chocolate, baked goods from Little Rae’s Bakery and sandwiches from Harried and Hungry. The company also provides their own high-quality, hand-made chocolate goods.

The area near the cart has tables and chairs where customers can sit and enjoy their food and beverages. The Central Library permits the consumption of covered beverages throughout the building. Except for meeting room areas, the consumption of food is limited to the coffee cart area.
The building was specifically designed with space for a coffee and sandwich vendor on Level 3, the most dramatic and heavily-trafficked area of the building. This floor is where people gather for tours, stop in at lunch to browse material on upcoming Library programs and events, or just spend time reading.

Chocolate Inc. operates Chocolate Café locations in Green Lake, Greenwood and Wallingford. For more information, visit their Web site at www.chocolati.com.
