Over the last few decades the church within the Seattle City limits has been in decline. New church development has been almost exclusively in outlying areas. One of the ways the devil establishes his foothold in a city is to weaken and dissolve the influence of the church within the city. Westside was born with a heart for the city and God has given us a
passion to retake lost ground. A vital part of our strategy to do this is to plant vibrant new churches, every few years, in strategic areas of the city and then encourage each church to duplicate itself in a similar fashion. Changing times demand changes in strategy. We must wrap the timeless truths of God’s kingdom in the packages of our day. The Ovaltine generation has become the Starbuck’s generation. For this reason our new churches plants will have a variety of flavors, but Christ and His Word will be at the center of all that we do.
