Sedro-Woolley Museum
The Sedro-Woolley Museum Committee was formed in December of 1991. In 1992, our articles of incorporation were finalized, and we became an offical non-profit organization. The city of Sedro-Woolley gave us a 25 year lease on the former, "Murdock Mall" building. The inside of the building had deteriorated, due to the roof leaking, and a donation from the Soroptimists allowed us to replace the ceiling.
Our first major opening to the public was in December of 1992, during the Holiday Home Tour. The museum opened with regular hours on March 6, 1993. Thanks to the Rotary Club, the new building facade was completed in time for Founder's Day in July of 1994.
