About Oberlin Today
We are an independent, evangelical oriented church as you can see by our motto, "Glorify. Grow. Go." The Bible is our foundational document from which all policies, procedures, and vision derive.
Congregational refers to the way we govern the church affairs. The power is in our members. All boards and committees are ultimately subject to them. Issues of great importance are taken to the members for a vote.
We have been around for over 100 years, but our body recently re-defined its vision, core values, purpose, statement of faith, and covenant to match who we are today. As such, we established Sunday School for adults and children, are ministering to young adults, and providing more care for children. We are also a military-friendly church, having a great appreciation for the sacrifices you make for us and our freedoms.
