Tonasket School District
Mission:
The Tonasket Public Schools will provide opportunity for the education of the individual to the maximum of his or her academic and creative abilities. The ultimate end that we seek to achieve is intrinsically intellectual, technical, and moral. Every community force is encouraged to work with the schools in supporting this end and in promoting an appreciation of the American democratic heritage. This understanding of individual worth, dignity and responsibility will maintain the basis for a productive, progressive and free society.
About Us:
The Tonasket School District boundaries encompass about 1600 square miles of land area and a number of communities. The District's schools are located in the center of the district in the town of Tonasket. All district facilities are located on a single campus which provides for ease of availability of the full range of district programs and services to all students.
Tonasket is in Eastern Washington about 120 miles north of Wenatchee and 20 miles south of the U.S./Canada border.
The District has one elementary school, one middle school, and one high school. It is also home to the Tonasket Alternative High School and the Homeschool Outreach Program. The Outreach Program provides parents with the opportunity to supervise and instruct their children at home while having the professional guidance of a certified teacher.
The District promotes a wide range of programs and activities and is extensive in its coverage of basic education as well as a number of special purpose instructional programs. In addition, the schools offer a range of cocurricular activities including athletics, academic competition and music.
