The holiday season is almost upon us, and it will be “Fashion to a Tea” at The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra’s annual fund-raiser at the Hilton Vancouver, it was announced today by VSO President Celia Gesting. The event combines and celebrates friendship and food and will run from 11:30 am-1:30 pm, and is planned and hosted by “Friends of the Vancouver Symphony.” Included in the festive program will be a sit-down lunch, holiday decorations, a silent auction and a runway fashion show.
Tickets are priced at $50 and can be purchased by calling the VSO at (360) 735-7278, with all proceeds benefiting The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. For more information, contact committee chair Kalani Davis at (360) 600-2542 or at KalaniDavis@comcast.net .
“Many people are not aware that ticket sales for The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra only account for 20% of the revenue required to operate the orchestra,” said VSO President Celia Gesting. “That’s why we present fun and interesting events like the Tea and Fashion Show. The VSO certainly knows how to have fun raising funds.”
“Going into the holidays, this annual event is a great way to get together with old friends and make new business contacts in a very relaxed and enjoyable way,” said Ms. Davis.
“Friends of the Vancouver Symphony” is comprised of fifty dedicated volunteers supporting and assisting the VSO during concerts and throughout the year.
