Citizens For Cultural Arts
Our Vision and Goals
Citizens for the Cultural Arts in Clark County, Washington state, USA was created the summer of 1999. Gloria Claybin and Virginia Holter formed the group from concerned citizens who shared a vision, and Gloria and Virginia became co-chairs.
In 1999, it was obvious to many that the fourth largest city in Washington state, and a growing county in excess of 360,000, lacked a performing and visual arts center to showcase local and out-of-state talent.
In 2006, Vancouver now has 160,000 residents and Clark County has increased to a population of 400,000.
