Mission

Our primary mission revolves around Sight & Hearing disabilities. Helen Keller at a speech in 1925 called upon the Lions to be "Knights of the Blind" Ms. Keller who was also hearing impaired moved the room so much they voted to dedicated their efforts to eliminate preventable blindness world wide.

About Us

Established in 1955 as a lunch club in downtown Vancouver, WA, we were charted by the Vancouver Lions. Our first president was LeRoy DeBast, and the current one is Craig Limoges.

Our membership is almost 100 and we are just like you, we live and work in our community, we have families, we care about our neighbors and those who for one reason or another can not always help themselves. We help support a mobile screening unit which travels the Northwest offering free screening for Vision, Hearing Loss, Diabetes and Glaucoma. Washington Elementary, in Vancouver, WA has been identified as a school at risk and we assist the School in many different ways, including mentoring, lunch buddies, field day, a Santa store along with other activities.
