Honky-tonk, boogie-woogie and gospel will be among the genres played at Midday Masterworks, a quarterly organ mini-recital series. The entertaining half-hour program titled All That Jazz will be presented at 12:15 pm at the United Methodist Church of Monroe and again at 5:30 pm at St. Victor Catholic Church in Monroe.

Mozart Changes, a jazz styling written in 1995 specifically for organ and based on Mozart's last piano sonata in D Major, will be among the selections performed.   Also included will be familiar spirituals, Cole Porter's Anything Goes, and a gospel piano arrangement of The Old Rugged Cross.  Deborah Krauss Smith, organist-director of music at St. John's UCC in Monroe, is the organist for Midday Masterworks.  The programs are free and open to the public.
