Barker's Island Farmers' Market
The Barker's Island Farmers' Market was started in 2000 as an opportunity for growers to sell their fresh, locally grown produce directly to consumers. All of the items at the market are grown, raised, prepared or made in the Douglas County,WI, area. From June through October, the community gathers on the shore of Lake Superior every Saturday morning to enjoy shopping for fresh, locally grown produce, baked goods, eggs, meat, maple syrup, honey, jam, mustards and other condiments, handmade chocolates, homemade soap, plants and other seasonal items.
