Today Feb. 9th is the anniversary of the Feb. 9, 1971 Sylmar earthquake which caused a lot of damage to areas near here but not too much damage here in Tujunga. I really felt it but I missed the Jan 17, 1994 Northridge Earthquake which caused lots of damage nearby because I was in Jackson, Wyoming at that time. There is no such thing as earthquake weather but interestingly enough both the Sylmar and Northridge earthquakes took place on unseasonably warm conditions for winter.
