Christopher James Huffman, MD


Dr. Huffman grew up in Columbia, SC before attending Yale University. He returned to Columbia for medical school at the University of South Carolina. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, followed by a general cardiology fellowship at Georgetown/Washington Hospital Center, and an interventional cardiology fellowship at New York University. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, General Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, Adult Echocardiography, and Vascular Interpretation. He currently serves as the American Heart Association South Carolina Midlands Board President. He has been in clinical practice as an Interventional Cardiologist in Columbia since 2016. In the heart catheterization laboratory, he performs diagnostic cardiac catheterizations to diagnose coronary artery disease and puts stents into narrowed coronary arteries and peripheral arteries. His clinical interests include coronary artery disease, peripheral arterial disease, valvular heart disease, congestive heart failure, and atrial fibrillation.
