Headaches are common, yet the causes are highly individual. That's why it’s important to establish a collaborative, trusting relationship with my patients that involves shared decision-making. Treating headaches often involves many aspects of a person's life. The psychological and social components of headaches, especially in women, drew me to this field. I'm also fascinated by how migraines are treated during pregnancy, lactation, and menstruation. Helping my patients manage headaches or migraines involves a personalized approach, and my goal is to help them feel better. We do that by exploring root causes and not getting bogged down with treating just the symptoms. Ultimately, it helps build a stronger connection between my patients and me.
