The Delaware Agricultural Museum and Village in Dover is pleased to present “A Farmer’s Christmas”, a holiday celebration unlike any on Delmarva!
A time-honored holiday affair, “A Farmer’s Christmas” draws thousands of people from across the region. Visitors to the event step back in time, recapturing the holiday season of yesteryear as they stroll through the Museum’s festive "Holiday Hall" where Christmas trees abound and lights adorn vintage farm equipment. Engage in holiday crafts, watch artisans at work, listen to musical performances and thrill to a visit with St. Nick!
Among the many highlights of this year’s event is the:
1890’s Holiday Village tour “Away in a Manger” where 19th century Christmas carols are the inspiration for decorations in nine (9) of our historic buildings. Each building will be decked out with beautiful and unique holiday décor installed by outside groups as part of the Museum's second annual 1890’s Holiday Village Decorating Contest.
Christmas Tree Decorating Contest where area 4-H Clubs and FFA Chapters will once again vie for top honors!!
