Annual Quilt Show

Saturday, Oct 1, 2022 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm

It’s another great year for the Heart in Hand Quilt Guild’s display of handmade quilts!

Over 70 quilts will be again dripping from the rafters of this historic old schoolhouse building. Visitors from all over stop in to see this amazing exhibition. Docents will usually be on hand mid day for tours and information.

And every year this guild donates a quilt to the Bowen to help support its special events. Tickets are only $1.00 or six for $5.00! The beautiful quilt this year is titled Planting the Shoo-Fly Garden and features Kaffe Fausett designer fabrics. Many thanks to Jeannie Whitworth, chairman of the Raffle Quilt and to everyone who selected and donated the amazing Kaffe fabrics and helped make the Shoo-Fly Garden. Fabrics were donated by guild members and assembled by over 40 quilters. The appliquéd outer border was designed by Jackie Somerville and applied by four guild members. This Queen/King size (94″x104″) quilt was machine quilted by Deborah Raptis and binding was sewn by Jan Fambrough.
