Arcosanti takes a true hands-on approach to life and it’s many workshops that provide participants with opportunities to fully immerse themselves in projects on the property. Media are invited to come and spend a day filming and observing a “day on the job” of the Arcosanti Construction Workshop, taking place June 17 through July 12.

Participants will:

                -Help repair and restore original structures as well as help build new structures

                -Learn resource-conscious architecture

                -Assist in tiling, framing, plumbing, electrical and other skill-learning tasks

                -Discover a compact and integrated urbanism

Throughout the workshop, attendees will live, work and learn as a group in the same space and participate in work and community events and gatherings.

The next workshop takes place Monday, June 17 through Friday, July 12. Additional workshops are scheduled in the fall beginning Monday, Sept. 9.

Each work-week course is $1,400 and includes tuition, lunch, housing, facilities and field trips — plus the opportunity to become one of the more than 8,000 alumni who have built the arcology of Arcosanti!
