In Pegasus Gallery and The Niche

Adam Viens’ mixed media works take on themes of perception, time, psychology, science, and philosophy. His abstract compositions are assembled of found and repurposed material combinations that retain hints of past use and personal identity. Individual material forms and surfaces are recognizable in sections, but become obscured and recontextualized within the whole of larger compositions. In Viens’ work, it is only through viewer reception, response, and personal reflection that meaning is discovered.
Viens is a Middletown based artist and studied art at Manchester Community College. He has a decade-long regional exhibition record, and his work is held in numerous private collections. See more of his work at: www.adamviensarts.com.
