Welcome to the Bare Hill Triathlon, Duathlon and Aquabike

We are excited to announce that the Bare Hill Races will return on Sunday, June 4, 2023 in our charming town of Harvard, MA.

Course:

Swim Course (0.3 mi)

Harvard's Bare Hill Pond beach makes for an easy, knee deep, sandy start for the triathlon.  Water is generally calm and the water temperature at the end of June is expected to be in the low 70's.  The course is triangular and athletes will be supported by local lifeguards. Swim waves based on gender and an additional wave for anyone who needs a little more space to feel comfortable in open water swimming.  For those who prefer to change into shoes for the 1/4 mi uphill run up to the transition zone, an area will be marked off at the beach parking lot for footwear.

Athletes will make their way along rolling hills to Harvard's most popular road for biking, Prospect Hill. Enjoy breathtaking views from the top of the hill and the Fruitlands Museum vista, the historic homesite of the Alcott family, before returning to the center of town. Road marshals will be placed at all turns. Return to the transition area for the run.
