AMSET will host a Clay Workshop for Military Families this weekend!
(Beaumont, TX; July 28, 2021) The Art Museum of Southeast Texas (AMSET) is pleased to present an exclusive Blue Star Free Family Arts Day for active and veteran military personnel and their families. This workshop will take place on Saturday, July 31 from 10:00 a.m. to noon.
This special day will include a tour of the current exhibition David Cargill: The Lighter Side. The tour will be followed by a clay workshop where basics in sculpting in clay will be taught with a visit from David Cargill. The work will be bisque fired and then a clear glaze will be applied and fired again in the museum’s kiln in the newly expanded classroom. The next week, the artwork will be ready for pickup or delivery, (depending upon circumstances of the participants). Further, participants will receive a one year complimentary membership to AMSET.
