Events Schedule:

7:00 to 7:45 AM - Late Registration and Race Packet Pickup  at Red Mountain Park (If you plan to register Sunday, please arrive at 12:30 PM.)

8:00 AM - Start of the 10K and 5 K Races.

9:30 AM - Start of the 1 Mile BOO Fun Run - Cookout to follow.    

Course Information:

The BOO Run for Down Syndrome Alabama will be at Red Mountain Park, in Birmingham on Saturday, October 24th. The event is hosted by Southeastern Trail Runs and sponsored by Mountain High Outfitters. 

The Event - a 10K, 5K and 1 Mile BOO Fun Run followed by a "Costume Contest." - The 5 & 10K will start at 8:00 AM. The 1 Mile BOO Fun Run will start at 9:30 AM. The cookout will follow the race. This will be lots of fun for all! Costumes -  Treats - Beautiful Trails! RUN or WALK! Everyone is welcome.

The 5 K Course is a 3.3 Mile loop. There will be a water station at 2.2 miles. The entire courses is on the abandoned roadbeds of the railroads that served the Red Mountain mining district with two exceptions. There is a 300 yard section of single track trail about mile 0.9. There is also a 1/2 mile section of single track just after the aid station at mile 2.2.

The 10K Course is a 6 mile loop totally on the abandoned railroad beds of the railroads that served the Red Mountain mining district except for the 300 yard section of single track trail at mile 0.9. The water only aid station is located at mile 2.2 and at mile 4.2. These aid station may be unmanned so I recommend carrying water with you.
