Bronx Zoo's Dinosaur Safari

Tuesday, Jul 5, 2022 from 10:00am to 5:00pm

2300 Southern Boulevard

We’re back—and bigger than ever! During a NEW walk-through experience, you’ll get up close with 52 life-sized dinosaurs and pterosaurs in the Bronx Zoo’s Dinosaur Safari. This year’s safari not only features more animatronic dinosaurs than ever before, but also BIGGER ones.

Want to meet the 110-foot Argentinosaurus, one of the largest animals to ever walk the earth? How about the Quetzalcoatlus, the largest flying animal to ever live? Want to dig up ancient fossils and discover the very latest scientific discoveries about dinosaurs?

While you’re meeting prehistoric creatures, you might want to also take some time to visit the dinosaurs who are still with us today—the birds! The first birds evolved from dinosaurs in the Jurassic period, around 150 million years ago. Along your walk, you’ll encounter some living dinosaurs in the form of Dalmatian pelicans. You’ll learn about the similarities that exist between the birds you know today and the dinosaurs that went extinct 66 million years ago. The Bronx Zoo’s World of Birds is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2022, and it’s a great place to see some amazing avians during your visit.

Dates: April 11, 2022 – October 30, 2022
