Started in 1973, Capital Expo is a festival for the entire family, with two days of continuous fun and free entertainment in historic downtown Frankfort Kentucky.

Whether just looking or buying, you don't want to miss one of Capital Expo Festival's oldest traditions, our Artisans. Featuring primitive woodcrafts, wearable art, mosaics, handmade sterling silver and gemstone jewelry, paintings, pottery, hand turned wooden bowls, Kentucky Crafted and Kentucky Proud items and woodworking to name a few.

Come hungry to the Capital Expo Festival, you will find a large variety of food and beverages to satisfy any palate. Capital Expo has something for everyone, Carnival rides, Cornhole Tournament, Funnel Cake 5K Race, a Classic Car Show, continuous live entertainment, and a Children's Festival.
