We are having a 50th Mountain Fair and the music and entertainment are going to be very special in this golden year. We are bringing back some of the favorite acts from previous years, sprinkled with some new music to ensure there is a little something for everyone!

Featuring more than 25 musicians and entertainers throughout the weekend

Schedule:
8:00: Porcupine Loop Bike Race - Competition
Fun is our goal - costumes required. The mountain bike race starts at 8am Meet behind the Gazebo and be ready to ride!

9:00: True Nature Yoga With Deva Shantay - Open Space
An energizing practice that combines asana (postures), pranayama (breathwork) and meditation to revive and awaken prana (energy) in this practice.

9:00: Oasis Carnival Opens! - Oasis

10:00: Brother Sum And The Faerie Tells - Oasis
With Alexander Marchand and Clay Allen. Local teachers bring an imaginative jubilee of music and storytelling.

10:00: Voices' Tiny Listening Gallery And Recording Studio - Artery
From VOICES' deep-impact, visual journaling work with immigrant newcomer students, and local women creatrves, inviting audience members to hear powerful origin stories. Community members will also be invited to a mini recording studio to capture their own stories.

10:30: Flower Crown Making With Miss Holly - Oasis
Creativity and beauty in the making. Come make your crown and feel the flower power. Booth opened till 2:30.

11:00: Cake Baking Competition - Competition
The theme is "Summer of 72". Bring entries to the Judging Tent between 10:30 and 10:45. Categories include Cake, Alternative Cake and Cupcake.

11:00: Sweet Root and The carbondale choir - Gazebo
Their melodies meet you with a smile, invite you to sing along, and evoke peace within.

11:00: Young Mountain Movers with dance artist and teacher Aryson Boell Marchand will share their choreographic explorations and invfte fair goers of all ages to join them for a warm up and a dance! - Oasis

11:30: Voices' Youth Artery Takeover - Artery
Youth creatives bring spoken word, original songs, and movement to the ARTery stage.

Noon: Doubles Horseshoe Competition
Located in Glassier Park, two blocks south of Sopris Park on Weant Boulevard. Register at the Info Booth beginning Friday.

12:00: Poppy The Clown - Oasis
Magic, juggling, plate spinning and audience participation with a Mountain Fair favorite. Poppy will also travel around the Fair entertaining the masses. Keep your eyes open!

12:30: Lizzy Plotkin And Natalie Spears - Gazebo
Local favorites, Lizzy Plotkin and Natalie Spears revel in the endless groove of Appalachian fiddle/banjo duets, funky blues bass lines, and soulful harmony singing. Their original compositions and reverent interpretations of old-time and bluegrass standards draw from a rich history of listening and learning from great American music of the past.

1:00: Latin Creatives/Creatives De Latino America - Artery
Local Latin dancers, musicians, and performers come together for an afternoon of lively creative expression. Featuring Gabriela Alvarez Espinoza, Claudia Pawl, Rodrigo Arreguin, and more.

1:00: Arco Yoga - Oasis
Using balance, coordination, and cooperation we will take some basic acrobatic and yoga postures and weave them together in this playful workshop in front of the oasis stage. Parents, find your inner child and come play with your kids!

1:45: Sopris Soarers Encore Sunday - Gazebo
Enjoy unique Youth and Adult acts in duos + trios representing the 70s to the 20s

2:30: Don Chicharron - Gazebo
Pays homage to Chicha, the sonic result of Peruvian artists mixing the various aural stylings of their day: '60s psychedelia, Andean traditional folk melodies, and Afro-Cuban cumbia rhythms.

3:00: The Cowboy Corral - Oasis
Multi-generational Cowpokes come together to tell tales, yodel, heehaw and harmonize Cowboy songs from days of yore.

4:00 Men's Woodsplitting Competition - Open Space
The testosterone is heavy in this popular event in which one man will be crowned king. Sign up early as slots fill quickly! A benefit auction of the wood follows.

5:15: Band Of Heathens - Gazebo
Between 2008 and 2016, The Band of Heathens released five studio albums, four of which went to either number one or number two on the Americana Radio Albums Chart, and earned a pair of Americana Music Awards nominations. They have previously played the Fair in 2007 and 2021, but more importantly they area Mountain Fair favorite and will be a great way to close down the 50th.

7:30: Its A Wrap! Once again, Memories have been made, friendships have formed and others reunited and its all been done on people power. Much gratitude to all who helped make this 50th happen. Anyone that still wants to help, please come by the park tomorrow and help us put this memory away!
