May is AAPI History Month, and this month’s Family and Community Day is in tribute to the history and artistry of lanterns in AAPI cultures. We will be making our own colorful paper lanterns and lighting them with glow sticks and LED candles. You can choose to dedicate your lantern to a loved one, or in honor of your family’s name, and take home your special lantern creation to enjoy. This program is free and open to the public. All supplies will be provided and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Masks are optional inside the museum.
