This exhibition features a collection of Wes Sherman’s plein air paintings, with an emphasis on storytelling and the experience of the artist in nature. He explores color and abstraction in distinctive and exciting ways which deftly convey mood and an exceptional sense of place. Sherman teaches acrylic, plein air painting and art appreciation classes at The Center. He also leads regular group tours of Chelsea galleries. Sherman is an adjunct professor of studio arts at William Paterson University, Raritan Valley Community College, and Brookdale Community College.
