Theme: Fabulous Fibers

Join Kidzu’s Makery team every first Friday for FREE themed STEMonstrations! Admission is free all day. This month, join Kidzu’s Makery team to celebrate National Textile Day, featuring multiple local artists and makers. This project was supported in part by the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources. Kidzu is proud to have earned a 2023 NC GlaxoSmithKline Foundation Ribbon of Hope award, which will make STEAM and Kidzu’s makerspace, The Makery, accessible to all! Family First Fridays are monthly programs featuring free all-day museum admission with a range of facilitated STEMonstrations by real world scientists, artists, and makers! Additional support from the Grable Foundation and the NC Science Museum Grant Program.
