The Frisco Democratic Club's general membership meeting for 6/26/22. We are meeting in the private room at Chito's Mexican on Main St. in Frisco across from the Soccer Hall of Fame.

5:25pm Candidate Spotlight Local candidates share their platforms and plans to help turn Texas blue.

5:45 Former Frisco Democratic President and current Denton Together President, Ira Bershad This will mark Ira’s first time back with FDC since he left his term as president during Covid in 2020 and moved to The Colony.

Ira and his teams have been WINNING elections in Denton County. Denton Together has supported 10 winning municipal elections and 11 wins overall in just the last two years. Ira will be bringing his competitive political posture towards engagement and making a difference and his high energy to talk to us about how they’ve done it and why there has never been a more important time to be engaged.

6:15Nominee for the Texas Democratic Party Chair, Kim Olson. Kim Olson knows we need a new approach to winning Democratic campaigns. That's why she'll do things differently as party chair, engaging rural voters in real conversations, ensuring we have the resources to implement a strategic plan, and prioritizing building the state party from the grassroots up.

This means a focus on campaign fundamentals:

Register Work with candidates and allied organizations to reach ambitious voter registration goals based on data and new partnerships. Identify Listen to voters and activists in big cities, the suburbs, and the vast area that makes up Texas. In order to win statewide, we need to increase our margin in rural Texas. Persuade TDP will be a leader in messaging, with focused attention on countering Republican rhetoric. We will build lasting relationships with diverse communities and in key areas of the state.

Turnout Field efforts will include a robust door-knocking operation, the "Get out the Vote," effort will include clear, detailed, and targeted communications.
