Early Arrivals. If you arriving to Eugene the day before your session begins, students are able to stay on campus for one extra night. Early residence hall check-in will be from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. outside the Living Learning Center (LLC) North. There will be an informal get-together for students at 9:00 p.m. on the LLC lawn.
Day One. Students can check in for the IntroDUCKtion program at the Student Recreation Center. Our program will begin promptly at 8:45 a.m. After the opening session, students will meet their Student Orientation Staff member (SOSer) and join their Flock of other incoming students. Parents and family members who register for Parent and Family IntroDUCKtion will be escorted to that program by our parent and families host. Both students and parents will be guided through all of Day One by our staff.
Day Two. The Day Two opening session will be at 8:30 a.m. Students will attend an individual academic advising appointment sometime between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m (specific appointment times are assigned on Day One). Students must attend their assigned appointment time. After their advising session, students will register for their fall term classes. Before and after students complete advising and registration, there are plenty of activities to complete before leaving campus:
Information and Resource Fair
Interest Sessions (open to all participants)
Student Alumni Association
Health Careers at the UO
Parent & Family Programs
Residence Life and Academic Residential Communities
Residence Hall Tour
Tour of Autzen Stadium
The fee for IntroDUCKtion is $280, which includes one parent or family member, staffing and program related costs, materials, and some meals. Additional parents and family members may be added at the time of registration for an extra cost of $95 per guest. This fee is only added if you select an additional guest during the registration process. Click here to learn more about fees and changing your reservation.
Except the off-site and September programs, all students who attend a two-day program are required to stay in the on-campus residence halls for a minimum of one night; students may opt for two nights at no additional cost. Parents and family members are not permitted to stay in the residence halls.
