An Earth Day weekend special-we’re turning “trash” into treasure again. Revamp. Reincarnation. Editing. Desecration. Call it what you will. We are taking a piece of art someone thought better of and making it . . . EVEN better. Scour the thrift shop bins, your closet, the basement, and the curb for a painting, sculpture, sketch, or print that is calling out to you for a makeover. (We will have a few on hand, too.) Then push up your sleeves, take a deep breath, ask forgiveness, and give it that extra sumthin’ sumthin’ it’s been waiting for! No special skills necessary: we’ve got stencils, paint pens, collage materials, needles, embroidery thread, and plenty of good ideas. A subversive, affordable way to recycle and gain a new piece of art!
