During the evening performance, Nimbus Dance will be joined by students from the Morris County VoTech.

Award-winning Nimbus Dance pays homage to Martha Graham's iconic collaboration with composer Aaron Copland, Appalachian Spring, bringing artistic director, Sam Pott's contemporary vision to this American dance masterpiece. Paired with this piece are other works that explore themes of americana through dance.

Pott's work honors Martha Graham's seminal ballet from 1944 by exploring the sense of hope and optimism in this timelessly American music, while conveying a contemporary perspective on the continuity of spirit through changing cycles of seasons in nature and through generations of Americans.

This dance is performed by a standout cast of Nimbus' celebrated company dancers who will be joined by 14 dance students from Morris County VoTech during the evening's performance.
