Pain management is an issue that plagues many Americans. People with chronic pain tend to want to move less which can ultimately lead to more pain. There are many factors that lead into how to manage your pain. This program is a four-week course that takes a non-clinical approach to help educate as to what pain is, why we have it and to help people start moving so they can see the benefits of gentle movement. During the four weeks they will have one educational session per week and two gentle movement condition classes per week. People who are currently seeing their pain doctor should ask if this program is right for them or if one-on-one training with a Physical Therapist would be a better route.
The first class will be in the NKCH Pavilion in the Burlington Room.
