During the month of March our meeting room art display will feature photographs by Dr. George Vosgerichian. Dr. George Vosgerichian has been passionate about the Cape and photography since childhood. His fascination with photography culminated in building a 6x17 medium format panoramic film camera. In recent years, his love of aerial photography inspired him to photograph the entire coastline over Cape Cod & the Islands.

He has received tremendous feedback for his aerial photography. His photos regularly appear in magazines, travel guides, puzzles, galleries, and on social media. He was featured in the August, 2019 issue of Cape Cod LIFE Magazine, “The Sea From Sand & Sky,” a 6-page article showcasing his aerial and landscape photography. In 2020 and 2022, he won First and Second Prize in the Cape Cod LIFE Annual Photo Contest. Three of his images appeared in the Cape Cod LIFE: 2021 Annual Guide. His exhibit, “Soaring Above Cape Cod,” ran successfully for 2 years at the Cape Cod Maritime Museum from 2021-23, and at the Nobska Light and Museum in 2023.

His photography can be seen at OverCapeCod.com and the Print Gallery at Cape Cod LIFE Magazine.

He graduated from Boston University in 1991 with a degree in Chemistry. In 1995, he received his D.M.D. from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where he served on the faculty for 7 years. He has been practicing dentistry in Arlington, MA, for 27 years. A member of several professional organizations, he is also involved with humanitarian trips abroad to educate dentists and treat people in underserved areas. Among several distinctions, he was awarded "Top Dentists" by Boston Magazine. Alongside his passion for photography, he enjoys playing piano and composing music.

OverCapeCod.com is an aerial gallery of the Cape & the Islands. It has been a resource for art, commerce, and environmental groups since 2014. It has been a surprising journey of transformation from photographer to environmentalist – an endeavor to raise awareness of how vulnerable the Cape is to human and natural forces. Proceeds from the site go toward preservation of lighthouses on the Cape & Islands. All aerials are taken from a plane.
