Please join us in honoring and paying remembrance to the military men and women that gave their lives while in service to our country.

We will have a service at 10:00 a.m., followed by a roll call of the soldiers that did not make it home.

The Oakland Cemetery Lot Owners Association board of trustees will provide flowers to be placed by our guests at the graves of our fallen heroes if you would like to tour the cemetery and visit their final resting place.

Oakland has hundreds of veterans and dozens of those who were killed in action. Many were not returned to their families for years after their death. As Oakland lay neglected for so long so did the final resting place of these soldiers that gave their lives for our freedom and the freedom of people around the world. We want show these soldiers the honor and respect that they deserve.

Let us all come together to celebrate, remember and honor their lives.
