The MBSR program develops tools to help reduce stress, anxiety, and chronic pain while developing greater awareness and a sense of well-being.
This eight-week program is designed to help participants integrate and apply mindfulness into their lives. MBSR offers an experiential and integrative approach for tapping into and mobilizing innate inner resources for dealing with pain and stress while promoting well-being. The four practices of the Body Scan, Walking and Seated Meditation, and Mindful Movement are used to help participants develop new habits and ways to interact with life. This program is based on the work of Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center.
Program includes eight weekly classes and a retreat, weekly homework, and recordings.
