The Mother’s Day Concert will feature selections from the “Great American Songbook,” a timeless collection of music from the stage and screen dating from the 1920s to the 1960s. These popular tunes were written by some of our most celebrated composers, including George and Ira Gershwin, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin and Hoagy Carmichael.  These compositions were made even more memorable by performers like Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, and Billie Holiday. Featured vocalist Cynthia Rose, who sang at the recent Christmas Concert, is expected to once again delight audiences with her skillful rendition of these familiar and enduring melodies.
