Nature Camp - Apprentices

Thursday, Jul 12, 2018 from 8:30am to 3:00pm

Nature Camp balances farm-focused activities with nature explorations and scientific discovery. Campers play, learn, and grow as they experience Drumlin Farm’s unique and varied habitats. Each day centers on a different nature or farm-animal theme. Daily activities include farm chores, gardening, cooking, arts and crafts, nature walks, games, songs, and nature reflection time.

Entering Grades 6–7
Head out to Boyce Field and examine the farming practices and natural habitats of Drumlin Farm. Learn why locally grown food is important. Work alongside our staff to grow crops and care for the farm animals. Conduct scientific investigations and learn the natural cycles crucial for an organic farm. Go on a field trip to a local farm, and set up your own farm stand for camp families! The highlight of each session is an overnight at the farm. End the session by camping out on the drumlin, cooking over a fire, and going on a night hike. Tents provided by Drumlin Farm.

Please note:The overnight will be the second Thursday of the session. Camp begins Thursday at 8:30 AM and ends at 9:00 AM on Friday morning.
