The Newport International Boat Show (NIBS), one of the largest and most prestigious boat shows in the country, spans over fifteen acres with 6 connecting show sites within historic downtown Newport, Rhode Island. Walk the docks and view a spectacular display of shiny new sailboats and powerboats, some making their first-ever debut in the United States. On the land side, you’ll find hundreds of marine products, services and accessories to enhance the boating lifestyle. Also on deck are educational seminars, in-water boating courses and daily giveaways.
The Boat Show’s September dates from 12-15th and stunning location are added benefits to your visit. Windward VIP Lounge Experience at #NIBS24
The Windward VIP Lounge offers attendees a private oasis with views of Narragansett Bay and ocean sounds of an active waterfront. It includes a premium open bar with endless options, gourmet food served all day, private restrooms and a place to relax and lounge, indoors and outdoors. Guests can enjoy an exclusive setting while being amid the hustle and bustle of the Newport Boat Show.
Tech Talks: 3-Hour Hands-On Course
Returning this year are Tech Talks: a hands-on technical training courses for boaters of all experience levels led by ABYC expert and Boat of the Year judge Ed Sherman.
There are 2 courses; “5 Things Every Boat Owner Should Know How to Do on Their Diesel Engine” and “Electrical Systems and Troubleshooting” being offered both Saturday, Sept. 14th and Sunday, Sept 15th. A location of Seminar is at IYRS (10-minute walk from Show Site or you can park in the IYRS parking lot for the course only.)

Clean Ocean Access (COA) joins the Newport Boat Show as the Sustainability Partner
Clean Ocean Access will be implementing zero waste stations to divert compost and recycling from entering the landfill, bringing education and awareness to boat show attendees, and will also encourage all food and beverage vendors to use compostable and/or recyclable materials. Newport For New Products (NFNP)
U.S. Debut of 2025 Boats and Products
Being the first major show of the fall boat show season, foreign and domestic manufacturers embrace the Newport International Boat Show as the place to launch their new boats and boating products. Even better, NIBS is home to the popular Newport For New Products (NFNP) program which, in partnership with three national boating magazines; Cruising World, Sailing World, and Yachting. Industry experts judge each entry on opening day and awards are given for Best New Powerboat, Best New Sailboat, Best New Product - Navigation (including marine electronics), Best New Product – Boat Operation, Maintenance & Safety and Best New Weather Gear (wearable).
Whats Under The Bohlin Tent And On Bowen’s Wharf?
The Bohlin Tent, located at the end of Commercial Wharf, is a pleasant retreat from the hustle and bustle of the show and a beautiful place to relax while enjoying acoustic music, delicious food and a cool beverage from Sobieski Vodka, Delicato Wines, Harbor Town Wine, Fishers Island Lemonade, Mount Gay Rum, Narragansett Brewing and Whalers Brewing. New this year – we welcome Dillon’s Gin Cocktail, Harpoon, Newport Craft Brewing and Tequila Ocho.
In addition to boating displays, Bowen’s Wharf will welcome Dulce Vida Tequila - serving samples of their refreshing beverages!
Convenient Parking With Shuttle To And From The Show
The Newport International Boat Show offers convenient parking at Easton’s Beach in Newport. A parking pass is $40 per vehicle and is good for any one day, Thursday – Sunday. There are continuous, complimentary shuttles to and from the boat show site (only 1.5 miles) from 8am to 8pm all four days of the Show. Parking passes available for purchase online, click here.
Even More Boats To See At The Nibs Brokerage Basin!
#NIBS24 will offer brokerage boats located in the brokerage basin north of Bannister Wharf. A collective display ranging up to 100 ft, both sail and power. Additionally, visit the Newport Brokerage Boat Show at the Safe Harbor Newport Shipyard. This show is free of charge and can be accessed by water taxi located now at The Landing dock, noted on the show site map.
